He gave up five hits to five guys hitting below .200 and then walked a guy with the bases loaded! The next reliever gave up a 2-run, game-tying single on an 0-2 pitch, and Mujica had a terrible outing. The offense also left 8 RISP (runners in scoring position), so like most baseball games, it was a team loss. Rarely does one player win or lose a game. Baseball really is a team sport, even if there's just one guy in the batter's box.Steven E. Or maybe it's something personal he's taking on the field with him. Who knows?

Last year, because of injuries and down years, the Sox did indeed seem to give up really early. But I do remember the team was decimated with injuries.Steven E. Perhaps he's fully aware he's losing his spark and he's taking it out on anyone who challenges him.

Brock Holt certainly made a wow-worthy play yesterday. I don't think any one player should have a cheerleading commercial so early on. It places added pressure on the player (if they care at all about hype). Once a player is well established (like Jeter was Big Papi) then it's okay.

Last year it seems the Sox gave up half way through the season since they were playing so poorly. This year could be a repeat of 2013. But let's not jinx it. Diane Barretohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01443175243624951706noreply@blogger.com
